· Private homes with common facilities: Residents live in their own homes but can gather in common areas/ shared house for meals and to socialise.

 

· Typically between 15 and 40 dwelling units

 

· Intentional Neighbourhood design: central pedestrian areas and greens, with cars kept to the edges of the development.

 

· Neighbourhood managed by its own community: regular meetings to manage communal areas and resourses. Non-heirarchical structure.
